Croatia

Thinking of booking a holiday on the Dalmatian Coast, myself, the wife & our 2 year old daughter. We've not had a break since our littlen was born so really looking forward to getting away. Ideally looking for a family friendly hotel & preferably near a nice beach. (Prefer a beach over the pool) also like to take in a bit of the usual culture etc
Me & the mrs went to hvar for a family wedding a few years back & loved it, but wouldn't consider it ideal for a toddler, thinking the end of the month as it'll still be warm but not to hot for the littlen.
Anyone recommendations would be greatly appreciated,

Stayed in Umag I believe it was called. Very nice. 2 very good excursions with Thomsons, collusiem and my favourite Lake Bled which is across the border in Slovenia. Google it.

Thanks Manip. Anyone else been to Croatia? Or anywhere about a 2 hour flight that has child friendly hotels & located near nice beaches? Been looking at Minorca & Majorca, both look nice, only thing that puts me off is going anywhere in the euro zone. Like a bit of value when I go abroad!

I'm off to Brac in a couple of weeks, staying in Bol so will probably get the boat over and do a night or two in Hvar. Really looking forward to it, seems to tick all the boxes for a good value beach holiday!

Been to pula in croatia several times, close to the airport, served by ryanair at stansted.
Lovely place. Look up arenaturist - they have a few gaffes up there. Its what the locals use.

Dubrovnik is quality, really lovely place - it's a bit pricey for Eastern Europe though, better to hope over to Bosnia next door, much more bang for your buck.

I've been to Hvar, thought it was lovely & would like to go back one day. Only thing thats putting me off slightly now, is theirs no sandy beaches, it only had a couple of pebble beaches & me & the wife prefer to sit on a nice sandy beach through the day. Fussy cunt I am!

Can't you just change your name to 'Pebble Iron' for two weeks?

defjam Haha actually it's quite ironic! You'd think id be sick of the sight of sand! It's the wife mate, she wants the littlen to be able to play on a sandy beach! Then theirs me looking for a beach with some bars, going to be hard work this!
